Marof, Mill under the waterfall

At the Mill under the Waterfall, you can experience the synergies of the primeval environment of the Kozjansko region, the remote greenness of wonderful Slovenia, and sense peace and tranquility in harmony with nature as you perform age-old milling activities.

This homestead is a paradise for anyone who wants to escape the urban hustle and bustle for a few days, a paradise for artists and artists at heart, scientists who are inspired by working in a different environment and different types of couples, families with somewhat older children. It is also an excellent starting point for all hikers, fishermen and all lovers of untouched nature.

Right next to the Mill, the 8-metre Marof Waterfall descends down a mighty rock wall; there, you can enjoy the sound of water and millwheels giving you a sense of inner peace that will relax you and detach you from the urban hustle and bustle and give you time to meditate and take a deep look inside of yourself.

Marof is a wonderful renovated mill with a folk charm in a fairy-tale rural environment. A perfect getaway for 5 people with all of the amenities: Wi-fi, a parking spot, heating with a heat pump and a wood-burning furnace, a sauna, and endless options for a getaway where truly no one will be able to disturb you.

A large kitchen, a dining place with a wood-burning furnace and a living room with TV await you on the first floor. In order for your comfort to be truly complete, there are also a bathroom with sauna and a meditation room with a view of the waterfall.

Upstairs is The main Milling room with a double bed, The Room under the Waterfall has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. For those who still need contact with the outside world, there is also an open workspace where you can have a small office, you can write a book, develop your ideas, write your dissertation, or similar.

All rooms have a wireless internet connection (Wi-Fi). The living room and both bedrooms have TV’s. The building is heated by a heat pump and a large wood-burning furnace in the living room.
